There should be many alternatives to swallowing toxic debts

Yes, there should be many alternatives to using $700 billions to swallow the toxic debts of the devils in Wall Street. A budget of at least US$700 billions may be used to rescue and save the victims of the toxic debts including the poor investors, the poor innocent employees of the failed financial firms, the borrowers suffering from the housing collapse and more importantly, for the reconstruction of the US financial system.

But to use a minimum of USD700 billions to swallow the toxic debts so that the whole world will become infected by the virus and die with it does not make sense.

One commentator said that the US bailout plan would create a "financial dictatorship" by the US Treasury Secretary. If this is true, then we will see a real "Financial Terrorism." America is announcing to the whole world the return of terrorism, dictatorship, fascism, ... back to a civilised country. Whatever way you try to disguise it, the plan represents an absolute seizure of all financial powers, powers so great that there can't be effective fetter, sanction, supervision nor any legal limit. Is America going to choose a path like that? Will that be the destiny of America?

I am surprised that we don't see civilized Americans coming out to address such controversial bailout plan! What has happened to the freedom of speech and expression upheld by the Americans so far? What has happened to the fundamental principles of capitalism, administrative non-intervention, free economy, etc.?

We are witnessing not only a turning point in USA but also a turning point in the development of human civilization and history. The controversial US bailout plan deserves international attention.
