NO! Berkshire's purchase of GS stock last week is a sure win but Buffett's bet on the evil Bailout Plan being approved by Congress is certainly lost. But can't you see what Bufffett has been betting? It's never on the evil Bailout Plan!
Berkshire's purchase of GS stock is a transaction on the terms of Buffett. Whether the evil Bailout Plan is approved or not, the result won't hurt the investment. GS has managed to ride through the turmoil so far, though not without injuries. Buffett is purchasing on his favorable terms and the price is very reasonable.
If GS falls further, I will follow Warren Buffett and buy low! But don't buy now; wait for the devils to make more mistakes before your counter-attack. But mind you, the devils will refuse to sell you once you place your bet to buy low. They have the devil's eyes and so we can use some clever cover-up techniques. I won't tell you here; otherwise the devils will learn to be clever.
By the way, if Buffett's bet on GS unfortunately loses, then you must admit with humility that it was a mistake to buy GS last week. The move was premature and more patience was needed. But that doesn't mean you should lose confidence in Berkshire; if you look at the DOW now, Berkshire is perhaps the only big company whose stock was UP despite the plunge after the defeat of the evil Bailout Plan!
No more return of the evil Bailout Plan. We must unite together to send the devils back to Hell.
