Has the Fed lost faith, belief..? Economic tyranny - the best of times and worst of times!

Did we hear just a couple of weeks ago that the US economy was getting better or the downside risk to growth was diminishing? But we have just heard that the risks of recession are imminent. It seems when the Fed wants to pause the rate cut, you will hear the economy is getting better and when the Fed wants to cut rate further, you will hear the opposite. Why not substitute the Fed by what Wall Street wants?

We are living in one world and we must not be ruled by Wall Street. Their devaluation of the USD so as to print more money and inflate assets is a kind of economic tyranny. All nations on earth holding USD or USD assets are subject to the same tyranny and everyday, poor guys like me are getting poorer and poorer. China, Japan, ...and others holding USD bonds and investments will soon be forced to entirely forgo the dollar and get something else in exchange.

As for our stock markets, I think it's now time to do something about derivatives including shorting stocks, options, etc. Yes, we must stop speculators shorting Freddie and Fannie, LB, BS, or other financials as quickly as possible. It is malicious market distortion or disorder when speculators can freely short by spreading or using false rumors, panics, fears and ignorance! Those clever guys who invented leveraging, derivatives, options, short sales, etc., may now find themselves the ultimate victims of their creations! If the US administration does not do something to abolish or curb such evil activities, someone else will do it. I mean angry investors who lost all their money will come out and pull down Wall Street to stop evil market manipulations!

You may see how divided the US economy is. There are selfish speculators whose target is to break the DOW and earn as much as possible at the expense of investors. There are happy CEOs in Wall Street still getting fat checks from their falling financial companies. There are bodies like the Fed and the Treasury who are bound to continue the political play on stage and are being used by Wall Street. There are poor investors crying for help whether in the housing market, the stock market or the currency market,...The list can continue. Is this the America that we know?

Yes, I had seen such disorders in Hong Kong during the Asian financial crisis. The whole society of Hong Kong was deeply divided, fragmented and torn to pieces. It was like the end of the world as depicted in the Bible. I was there and so I could tell you the worst is yet to come!

This is the best of times and the worst of times!
